How Bisque It Pottery Works
How does the painting process work?
Step 1: Pick out your piece
We have many different pieces to choose from! From dishes to figurines, you are sure to find a piece that triggers the creativity inside you.
Step 2: Choose your colors
Choose as many colors as you want! There is no limit to what you can create. We offer a variety of colors along with many "specialty" glazes.
Step 3: Paint your piece
You have your piece, your brushes, and your paints... It's now time to create your masterpiece! We have many sample pieces painted and on display to help get your creative juices flowing. Our staff is also eager to assist you with any technique you would like to learn.
Step 4: Glazing & Firing
When you are done painting your piece, leave the rest to us! We take each painted piece and dip it in a clear glaze. This will make the final piece shiny, food-safe, and weatherproof. We then load it into the kiln and fire it to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit! When it is finished we will call you to come pick up your finished masterpiece! This process takes about 10-14 days. ( return time will very depending on the season ) We will hold your finished piece for 30 days.
Do we need a reservation?
We do recommend you make a reservation. However, walk-ins are welcome if space is available. If our studio is full of painters you might have to come another day. Space is limited for large groups.
How much does it cost?
When you come to paint, you pay the price of the piece you are painting plus tax. The studio fee is included in that price. The average price for an item is $25-$35. With some items starting around $10 up to $150 and everything in between.
Can we take our piece home with us the same day?
When you are done painting, we keep your piece to glaze and fire. We call you when it is ready to be picked up.
What If I don't finish?
If you don't finish, we will wrap your piece up for you to take with you and return at a later date to finish. Our Work In Progress policy states that you have 90 days to finish your piece at no additional cost. After that, there is a charge to have your finished piece glazed and fired.

Work In Progress
If you are painting something with us and you do not have enough time to finish we do have a work in progress policy. This will allow you to finish your project at a different time and day. If you choose to do this, you will take your pottery home with you. You will have 90 days, from the date you paid, to finish at no additional cost. After 90 days you will pay $5 per piece each time you return. We will not be held responsible for any damage to a piece, including damage that may show after firing.
Pottery Pick Up and Hold Time
We will attempt to notify each customer one time via text or call regarding pottery pick up. Customers have up to 30 days to return to Bisque It Pottery to pick up your finished artwork. Projects left at the studio for 30 or more days will be considered abandoned and will be donated or discarded. At times, voicemail boxes are full/not set up or text messages are not delivered. It is ultimately the responsibility of the customer to return to the studio for project pick up in a timely manner. If you do not hear from us in 15 days from the time you paint, give us a call and we will be able to confirm the status of your pottery. For parties with one ticket, including birthday parties, we will call or send one text to the host, but we do not text, call or email individuals.
The Policies stated above are in addition to any other policies posted in our studio and on our website or materials. They do not override any other policies or agreements accepted or signed off on in the process of doing business with our studio.
